Welcome to our Orlando blog

Our love affair with Orlando began during 1998 and 1999. I was fortunate enough to work with Walt Disney Imagineering on the two cruise ships being built at the time at the Fincantieri yard in Venice, Italy. This led me to Port Canaveral in Florida and my first Disney theme park visits.

Gina and I have been traveling to Florida regularly since then and we regard it as our second home. So much so that in 2004 we decided to invest in a vacation home in Orlando. Our villa, which we named 'Magic Dreams' is located in the sanctuary resort of Glenbrook and construction on it completed in May 2005. It is a 4-bed, 3-bath executive style home with south facing pool & spa. In 2006 we added a games room, which we fitted out with the best quality equipment we could afford, including an 8-foot 'Eliminator' pool table, air hockey, fooseball and electronic darts.

Our aim was not to just provide a convenient and well located holiday home for our own use but to also provide a rental opportunity for our friends and guests to enjoy and appreciate. Since 2005 the villa has welcomed around 86 families and we have really appreciated the warm and positive emails and guestbook comments we have received during that time. Our villa is maintained to a very high standard by a local company based in Kissimmee and it never fails to surprise us that each time we visit it still looks as good as the first day we had it.

Our story continues from here and we are keen to add posts on an 'all around Florida' basis, as it has so much more to offer than just the theme parks and also to encourage our guests to write about their favourite attractions, best experiences, reviews for restaurants and shops and general hints and tips to help others to enjoy their Florida experience
